    What are they smoking ?

    https://www.ghacks.net/2022/05/23/microsoft-windows-11s-product-satisfaction-and-adoption-is-highest-ever/

Chief Product Officer at Microsoft, Panos Panay, held a keynote at Computex 2022, in which he revealed that Microsoft’s Windows 11 operating system has the highest product satisfaction of all Windows operating system releases.

Here’s the most important thing for our team, quality, quality, quality. People using it [Windows 11] are finding the quality in the product, which has just been awesome. That also translates to product satisfaction. It is the highest product satisfaction of any version of Windows we’ve ever shipped..

Windows 11 also has the highest quality scores and product satisfaction of any version of Windows we’ve ever shipped. Product quality was a huge focus for the team, and we took a deliberate and phased approach to how we rolled out the upgrade…

      What are they smoking ?

A very good question. I dig your line of thought. My first reply is that Microsoft is smoking their private reserve, high octane, house-grown blend, rolled up into the new $100 bills they made from releasing such suspect-at-best data. But of course, that’s mere speculation.

Just now I found a very good, and comparable report about Microsoft’s claims of user adoption and engagement via the revered Babylon Bee, “Here Are 17 New Games Activision Just Announced After Being Bought By Microsoft“.

Now that Tony Hawk version of Excel might be extremely radically acceptable dude. Using speech to text you can ask Tony to navigate your spread sheet, “Tony go to cell (ZZZA, ZZZZ).”

A few of those suggested new video games might actually be fun to play 7, 9, 12, 13 & 14.

You know those buttons that ask “would you recommend …. to others?”  How many times have you clicked and entered something or ignored it?

(btw for anyone not aware Babylon Bee is satire but some days it gets to the point)

Does this by any chance remind you of a guy named Steve?

The best satirist of a well-functioning software company is Microsoft.

Oh we had this same Propaganda at about the same stage with Windows 10 faced with flagging interest, satisfaction and uptake.

Although it is working ok for me, I guess I need to go undercover and get hired and get some of that stash – who knows where that would lead me?

You gave me a quick belly laugh over that one. Thank you. I would’a responded only an emoji but the Boss Lady here doesn’t like emoji-only posts.

      “What are they smoking?”

Well, in 2012 the state of Washington legalized cannabis.  Interestingly, that was the same year that Microsoft lost its mind and gave us the horrific Windows 8 user interface and Metro apps.

      Coincidences anyone?

I wonder what the satisfaction with Windows 11 would be if they also had also polled all the people who would like to have it but cannot because of the ridiculous hardware requirements they slapped on it.

Wanting is not the same as having.  Be careful what you wish for. 🙂

        • #2448913

Oh, I neither want nor have Windows 11. Or Windows 10, for that matter! But there are those who do want it and can’t get it. Whether they would regret it after the upgrade is another question.
