Missing “Please wait while we configure Windows — nn””

I just upgraded 2 computers from 20H2 to 21H2 and when I rebooted i didn’t get the “Don’t turn off your computer. Please wait while your computer configures Windows” message showing a percent both when shutting down and starting up. The computers just shut down and restarted, Winver shows 21H2 so should I be worried something’s missing?

The upgrade from 20H2 to 21H2 is via an “enablement package” not a standard update.

It doesn’t actually “update” anything, it simply enables existing features in 20H2 that were  previously disabled.

If Winver shows Version 21H2 (OS Build 19044.1415) then you’re good to go.
