      From Susan’s post:

If you do use public Wi-Fi, make sure it’s secure.

At least some antivirus suites offer protection in this kind of scenario. When I’m in a public place, Norton 360 activates its VPN feature if there is no password to access the Wi-Fi network. The other day, it even kicked in when it decided that the password I’d been given wasn’t strong enough.

At the Old Bailey in central London, and quite probably elsewhere in the UK, all notes made by the jury must be kept in the jury room overnight, and will be destroyed at the end of the trial.

It is not known what happens to the writing implements…

Who can’t get out of jury duty?  I’ve never had to go.

Some want to do their civic duty, but the problem is that it can be pretty interrupting to normal life. I did have a good reason to get out of it one time – I was giving expert evidence in another hearing that day!

Susan: you have not revealed whether you were found Guilty or Not Guilty!

The method that I have chosen to ensure 100% security and privacy while fulfilling my civic duty is to read a book while waiting.
