I would be interested in determining whether the malware payload is delivered exclusively by KB3146449 or if KB3139929 also plays some role say by enabling a contingent download of Win 10 bits via IE11. The fact that MS is silent again on this update speaks volumes.

      Josh,

Great Program but I have two drawbacks on my PC. My event Reminder in Printmaster will no longer appear on screen and my FIX-ME-STICK will no longer work to check for viruses. I get the window to run or save the program and when I choose run, it just fades a little and then comes back with the same choice. Is there a way to uninstall GWX Control Panel ? I am unable to do that. When I try deleting the file in Downloads it tells me the program is on and cant be deleted. When I open the Task Manager to
stop the program, it disappears from the TM window but then when I try deleting the file, it again tells me that the program is running and cant be deleted.

You must have Monitor Mode enabled. Run GWX Control Panel, and turn off Monitor Mode. Then you can run it at your whim – or delete it entirely, if you prefer.
