        I think the process is doing this or something similar on iOS/iPadOS as well if you have the News app running in the background or have it set to Background App Refresh. I’ve noticed if those settings happen, then the app pulls on the battery life.

            I did see in the past some data usage by apps, but I don’t use news apps which by feature are more of the ‘streaming’ type.
