This is in the latest issue of “Photonics Online”, the online newsletter on developments in photonics technology (and I am sorry about the hugely long link that actually works!) about a recent advance published in Nature by a group at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) in Melbourne, Australia, that might help to increase the bandwidth available over fiber optics (e.g., Internet backbones and things like Verizon FIOS) by two orders of magnitude. And, therefore, remove, for quite a while, one would hope, a troubling aspect of Net Neutrality as presently proposed, that is, without placing practical limits, other than those enforced by sheer system collapse, on how much people would be entitled to pump in and download:

      Just so you know.
