A few weeks ago Deanna McElveen recommended a program that sounded like the answer to my prayers, No Crappy Passwords. So after prevaricating, as usual, I got a copy of the zip file from Older Geeks, yes, I did donate, twice actually, by mistake. Didn’t matter, I unzipped the file to Program Files/Crappy Passwords, and tried to run ncpw.exe. Up popped a warning, telling me that Windows had saved me from a fate worse than death. However, there was an option to continue at my own peril, so I clicked on that. There was a brief pause, then another warning: “Script Error. apps/ncpw/ncpww.tcl: couldn’t open “./pw_length: permission denied.” and that was as far as I was able to go.

Forgot to mention I am using Win 11 2H21

    What have I done wrong?
