I have my Exchange account and my GMail set up in Outlook.  The Exchange account shows the number of unread items.  The GMail account has no number — read/unread — Nada.

I tried running the repair, but that didn’t help.

      What to do?

I have the same issue – but it says filter applied. I can get rid of that message (right click on the status bar at the bottom, but then it is blank rather than the number of emails.
