Office 2003 Compatibility with One Drive in Windows 11

My version of Word and Excel in Office 2003 (all that I tried) which worked fine in Windows 10, would not function on File Open and File Save As operations after I upgraded one computer here “for fun”.  The dialog boxes came up, but were blank.  The applications tended to hang at this point.  I hunted around and found people experienced a problem with OneDrive running.  So I shut it down, and voila, Word and Excel work fine.  I guess I can live like this and synchronize manually, but it is a pain.  I was wondering if someone might have found a better work around for this problem.

Looks like Windows 11 upgraded, and the problem seems to have gone away.
