      I was under the impression that CCleaner was no longer–since about 6 – 8 months ago–recommended as a good/trustworthy registry cleaner.  True or not true?  If true, surely you can recommend a product that is a good replacement for that software.

      We (at AskWoody) tend not to recommend registry cleaners because they can do bad things if you are not careful. Cleaning up the disk with the Windows tools is generally enough.
