This nothing worse than a mild, yet persistent, irritation.

Today, I was part way through reading “New posts since last visit”.  I had to pause with about ten topics still to read.  When I returned, and clicked back to the “Home” of “New posts . . .”, the screen was blank, headed by the “Oh, bother! . . . .” headline.  I’ll find my unread topics in the right-hand margin, but it’s not as convenient.  The “New posts” list seems to take about six hours to rebuild.

Does anyone have an explanation for what’s happening, or whether I am doing anything wrong?

I would say it is a general problem, because you only have to go to the right-hand column, the section headed “Recent Replies”, to find posts which you know were made since your last visit!  Some ropey coding somewhere in “New Posts since Last Visit”?

I’ve been saying this for many months, but I think we’ll clear up the “New” problems – and there are many – with the site redesign. Which should be happening in… I’m not sure when.

Do NOT refresh or revisit!! Just leave the tab open.

        Another thought
What i do is open any pages on the New posts since last visit page and then open each of those that I want to read in tabs. Then if I need to restart my Pale Moon browser or continue the next day I will not have lost anything as long as I do not start with the AW pages loading at start up( Secession Manager in use on)

Woody – thanks, and sorry for raising what sounds like a well-known issue.
