One of my TVs does not have Bluetooth functionality, so I purchased a Plugable Bluetooth 5 adapter for the attached computer. Including shipping and tax, it was $20.80 on Amazon.

This is a quality product. I plugged it in, it auto-installed its own software, and I then paired my earbuds with it. To use it, I turn on the earbuds. To use the normal computer audio, I turn off the earbuds.

Extremely simple, and excellent quality. And very small – you can hardly see it unless you get up close to the computer.

    I highly recommend this product.

There are loads of BT adapters available, ranging from $5 to $lots. The biggest issue is the lag introduced by these adapters, which is noticeable when watching speech. They may also have poor audio performance so you lose the detail in music.

How does your unit perform in the lag / quality stakes?
What OS does your TV use that allows the unit to install software?
How did you decide on that adapter?

      cheers, Paul

It works extremely well with my Beats A1763 earbuds – as soon as you turn the Beats on, the sound immediately switches to the earbuds – takes about one or two seconds. And there is no lag at all – I watched a couple of Youtube videos, and the audio and video were perfectly synced up. And the sound quality is excellent.

The Bluetooth adapter is plugged into the Windows 10 computer that is attached to the TV, not the TV itself. (The TV is just an external HDMI monitor for the computer.)

You’re right; there are hundreds, if not thousands, of choices out there. I decided on Plugable, because I have bought products from them before, and I have been very pleased with the quality of the product and the attitude of the Plugable folks. (I bought a couple of video adapters from them – HDMI to DisplayPort, etc.)
