What floors me is that “a subset of popular applications” broken includes Photoshop.

Just to give you an idea of how important and pervasive Photoshop is in the graphics world, most display drivers (e.g., by AMD, nVidia, Intel) do special things when they detect they are being called by Photoshop.

Granted, sometimes it seems like just about everything seems to break Wacom pen support, but didn’t even one person at Microsoft try their changes before release with the most popular graphics application in the world? Or ask Adobe to check out a pre-release version for them?

One could be forgiven for thinking there is just one guy at Microsoft doing any testing and he’s out on vacation…

I wonder if the QA department has been completely shut down. It seems like every month there is a major show stopper for a relatively common hardware device (dot matrix printers, usb ports, wacom pens, etc.). Items that even none users are aware of their existence and it should be straightforward to test the build against them, if a bit tedious.
