Safe to delete this folder?

Do I need this folder?
C:Program FilesWindowsUpdate. It has an empty Cabs sub-folder, a V4 sub-folder and a temp sub-folder to the V4 one.

Perhaps a better question is, do you not need this folder? Unless it’s taking up gargantuan amounts of space, why bother? You could rename it or move it to a different location and see if Windows complains….and if it does, move/rename it back.

Only if you use windows update. It contains control information for Windows Update.
