Search not working shows “clock”

The latest update seems to have fixed my multiple monitors problem. Thanx to all who showed me workarounds but now the search function on the computer and any folder is not working showing a “clock” like icon with former searches but not allowing me to add a new search. Anyone experience this and have a fix. Thanx!

What version of Win10 are you running? 1903, 1909, 2004?
Which Edition? Home or Pro?
What was the latest update that caused the problem? May? June?
Search in the Taskbar? File Explorer?

It’s the June update and the problem occurs in both taskbar and explorer.

Hmmmm. Search had been broken in 1909 several months ago, but I thought that MS had got that fixed.

Sorry was called away for two days. While away, apparently the computer rebooted adn installed another update. Now search works but I still get these strange icons and past searches showing. I can live with that, I suppose but cannot figure what the “clocks mean.

I have a screen shot but do not know how to insert it here.

You cannot add an attachment as an anonymous poster, only logged in as a register member.
