    I need to create a calendar at my company that will be shared by all employees to list their vacations, doctor visits, etc. I thought this could be done through Access, but I see no reference to this in any manuals.

      Aren’t you reinventing the wheel? Outlook and/or Schedule Plus will let you do that on a network, at least if you use Exchange Server.
