Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |
Just to advise anyone else that might have this problem on Win 8.1 home version.
Did check for updates. Only update offered was Service stack 2022-07 KB5016264.
Install failed.
Did another check for updates. Normal 3 updates (but not KB5016264) offered.
3 updates installed ok.
Did another check for updates. KB5016264 offered.
This time installed okay.
Very weird!!!!
