    I have the desktop flavor of Skype (8.x – current version) on Windows 11. The microphone and speakers are a USB device (Yamaha AG03). When I try to loopback audio that is playing on the PC, it appears on Skype’s microphone “meter” but is not heard by the other party. I appears that Skype is canceling what it sees being played by the PC. This used to work fine, so it must be an update. Zoom, by the way, doesn’t have a problem.
