I recently realized that the white globs on 12 of my backlit keyboard keys where an A, or D, or G had been were from the friction of my finger tips over 6 years wearing away the black paint sprayed over the opaque-based keys everywhere but on the characters’ outlines.

In that spirit …. While the Mississippi “delta” is famous for “The Blues”, my late uncle procured timber for International Paper Co in places like the delta, and some pulpwood truckers taught him – & he sang to me – an old church spiritual involving this same friction in a more unique way. It seems a special dove , before bedding each night, would fly around a tall mountain and on its final pass would brush the mountain top once with its wing. The profound point of the final lyrics was that by the time the dove wore the tall mountain down to a ground-level nub …. it would be breakfast time in Hell!! Now THAT’s the Blues for you… & What a motivator to straighten up and fly right – and don’t press your backlit keys so hard!
