MS-DEFCON 2:
Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it.

AskWoody PlusBleeping computer article is lacking some necessary information.
According to this article today in BBC World:
https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-54833130
the billion dollars were not stolen but seized by the USA government: it was stolen much earlier by a hacker or hackers from a wallet belonging to the now shut down, criminal “Silk Road” online site where assassin’s services, drugs, and a variety of illegal items were bought and sold and whose then owner is now days in prison, serving two consecutive life sentences. The authorities finally tracked down the thief or thieves and so gained possession of it.

AskWoody MVPThis event marks the largest cryptocurrency seizure ever made by DOJ.
However, there’s more for the feds to do.
The allegations made by the government bodies are yet to be ruled on in a court.
For the seizure to be finalized, onus is on the United States to present evidence that proves the forfeiture of Bitcoins is justified. It is only then that the federal government gets to keep the newly discovered treasure.
