      Lucky for me it’s tried to update to 1709 and has apparently not been successful. As for the bloatware, funny the PC makers were getting a bit better at limiting bloatware. So Microsoft stepped in with stuff you don’t want and some of it is not easy to remove.

        Wonder what M$’s Signature Edition Win 10 1709 PCs will look like?

      For anyone who wants to remove all apps (except OS apps, Windows will refuse to remove).

      Run the following command twice (maybe not required with Win 10 CU/FCU) and ignore errors (they are harmless and just related to attempts removing apps ‘required’ by the OS).

      Get-AppxPackage | Foreach {Remove-AppxPackage -package $_.PackageFullName}

      In order to restore packages, use the commands below (replace ‘AppName’ with the name of the app to restore; use * as wildcard):

      Get-AppxPackage -Name *AppName* | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
      or
      Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers -Name *AppName* | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
