Tero Alhonen has a tweet that baffles me: https://twitter.com/teroalhonen/status/1197528318800801794 In the end, it appears as if he’s on the first Oc

The second screenshot says “Windows 10 Enterprise” – perhaps someone else is in control of his WSUS server and approved the 1909-enabling feature without further notification.

I know that’s all my users would see… if they saw noticed anything at all.

That seems to be the most likely explanation. Let me ask him.

I have had this happen with other releases, even though I am on a connection set to metered. As long as I did not shut down my computer, it stayed on the earlier version. As soon as I restarted or shut down and started, the new version was installed.

I did manage to block it once for a bit by shutting down in the middle of the install. Other ties, that has not worked.

What he’s seeing seems normal as you suggest. The update bits have been installed but is pending restart to complete . Therefore, it shows up in History but won’t update the version until reboot.

Yes, but under installed updates, 1909 is at the top of the list.

When I installed 1909 I had to reboot after installing the cumulative update and then reboot again after installing the feature update for the 1909 upgrade offered. Only then were two feature updates listed, with a (2) displayed immediately following the listing for the Windows feature update Version 1909.  (different anonymous) Windows 10 Home.

By the way, if you open Windows sandbox on 1909 it will show 1903
