But don’t worry, we got your back.
I’m already watchin’ my 6:00. I always (thanks to Task Scheduler) have drive images no more than a week old, copies of my data no more than a day old, and copies of my critical data made immediately after that data changes. I follow my own advice.
There are always some issue(s) with some updates for somebody, somewhere. Always. Do any of those issues affect my particular hardware/software environment? The only way to tell is to install the update. The way to do that safely is described in the link above. Sunday morning is when I copy my latest drive images to two HDD’s for offline storage. In addition, I have multiple copies of all my data on my NAS and in the cloud.
When a Windows update is offered, I install it. I keep all of my systems fully updated with every update offered, and I have yet to have any issues with any update. But, in the event that were to happen, I’m fully covered. Task Scheduler makes it virtually painless. The only thing I need to accomplish manually is to plug a HDD into the drive dock on my NAS, and copy my latest drive images every Sunday morning, which, by the way, I’ve done today.
Can’t block Copilot installation.
As for Copilot, I’ve already made it toothless; I don’t need to block it. It is pipelined through Edge and Bing. There is no Edge, no Bing on my PC’s. The Copilot link cannot launch, even via Office 365.
