When doing the due diligence on social networks that you correctly recommend, it is worth looking at the recent Netflix documentary “The Social Dilemma” that give a good (and frightening) insight into what is going on “under the hood”.

Good question. I haven’t watched it, so from that context I’d say that anything offering insights is worth investigating.

I’ve been sitting on a website name (.com, .org, .net) for many years that I never did anything with.  Has to do with the invention world.

Is there any way to sell this asset w/o developing it?

As long as you’re the registered lessee, you can transfer the domain to anyone you want. The trick is finding a willing buyer. If you’re asking if there are brokers, yes. For example, GoDaddy has an auction system. So you can find a buyer yourself or use one of the available services.

I can’t offer much advice, never having gone through the process for myself or a client.
