    Windows Update Client (WUA) has nothing to do with servicing stack
    both are different updates 🙂
    
    the note means there are going to release a separate “small” update for WUC, similar to this one for version 1507
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4021701
    
    they could also release the update directly as a SelfUpdate for WUC
    like they used to do with Windows prior Windows 8 (i.e. latest for Windows 7 is v7.6.7600.320 before they shift to separate WUC updates starting with KB2990214)

    I Submitted this message a moment ago and now cannot find.
    
    I have 4038782 Improvements n Fixes, 4038806 FlashPlayer and 4033637 ??? … Hidden.
    I pulled 4038801 waiting further advice & Defcon 3-5.
    
    Also noticed I’m still on NetFramework 4.0.30319.

    On my Win 10 Pro 64-bit (version 1703), KB 4040724 does not appear even if I hit Update. It’s not listed in past updates either.
    
    Any reason for this? Thanks.

    KB4038801 article was updated today:
    
    “Note: This is a re-release that includes Windows Server 2016 improvements. If you’ve installed the September 25, 2017 update and are not interested in server improvements, you can skip this update.”

    Good news for people wanting to keep their update list, this documentation says the lost update bugs are fixed for the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.
