More fun facts from the current CES gathering in Las Vegas:

Now, powerful satellite laser trackers are supposed to be turned off when approaching aircraft might fly across them, so as not to blind pilots, and the appropriateness of using lasers for that very purpose in anti-aircraft warfare is still an open question under current interpretation of the Laws of War. Now, it seems, self-driven cars, depending on their on-board equipment, may be interesting in the same way. Although their lasers not being used when there are people around seems like a bit of an oxymoron. Or is it perhaps self-driven cars that are just that?

… and this’ll be even more fun when they get near any high-security site with sensitive surveillance cameras.

So… Self-driving cars not allowed in areas where any endangered species of owls may live? (Sensitive eyes and all that.)
