What Internet/IT sites do you like and visit daily?

I have a list I check every day for IT banana peels, leaks, hacks, cracks, vulnerabilities, etc., but it’s getting a bit long in the tooth, and needs bringing up to date. Here are my current ones, along with IMHO’s:

      askwoody.com: First and foremost!

Ars Technica (https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/):Kinda like this one, as it’s succinct, not overly alarmist or sensational.

Krebs on Security: (https://krebsonsecurity.com/) Very respectable and valuable.

Bleeping Computer: (https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/) Mostly good, but can omit some factual data in the rush to get a story out. Oddly enough, it does not have a lot of comments from readers on the stories there; maybe it’s because there’s so much there every day? One can get overloaded.

The Register: (https://www.theregister.co.uk/security) Good info here, but the journalistic style is very British Tabloid at times, and can puzzle American readers (at least it does me a bit.  Tends to be a bit sensationalistic: “Bigwig Boffins Blow Lid Off Bang-up Bolloxed Bit-Code in…” Well, you get the idea.

      What are yours?

Win7 Pro SP1 64-bit, Dell Latitude E6330, Intel CORE i5 "Ivy Bridge", Group "Wait for the all-clear", Multiple Air-Gapped backup drives in different locations, "Don't check for updates-Full Manual Mode. ESU 1 yr."

I visit Wilders Security Forums daily to keep up on developments in security software that I’m using or thinking about using, and MalwareTips occasionally for additional info and views.

I visit Arstechnica every morning, and I’m a member here, but that’s it.  Being a Seeker/cannon-fodder I stay fully updated with every KB offered to me by Microsoft with the exception of driver updates.  I use only Windows Defender and Malwarebytes Premium 4.0.4.

I have multiple drive images safely stored away, the latest no older than a week, so I am unconcerned with potential exploits, ransomware, or hardware failure.  I don’t need to read some techie writer spelling out how the sky is falling.

Create a fresh drive image before making system changes/Windows updates, in case you need to start over!

I visit some of the sites mentioned here: ArsTechnica, Ghacks, Bleeping Computer, for example, but only before installing the monthly patches, as well as the single security ones released in response to some possibly serious threat, and also soon after the existence of such a threat has been announced and come to my attention, whether there is a patch for it already or not.

By the way, I think that the idea of starting this thread is a terrific one: thank you, NTDBD! And my thanks to all that have added and, I hope, will continue to add the links to their favorite security sites here.

I visit  https://www.ghacks.net/  most mornings along with  AskWoody.

For years I’ve found answers to many questions and problems on this site  https://askleo.com/

As for how to do something,  https://www.howtogeek.com/  hasn’t let me down!
