I have both installed and have to check periodically for new updates.

Example KB5009194 : ..NET 5.0 has been refreshed with the latest update as of December 14, 2021. This update contains security and non-security fixes. See the release notes for details on updated packages.

Have you opted into Microsoft Update as discussed at https://devblogs.microsoft.com/dotnet/net-core-updates-coming-to-microsoft-update/

I am opted into MU –

I understand that these are .NET Core updates. I need Windows Desktop Runtime updates.

I’m a little confused. The example that I posted showed the automatic update for.net 5.0 which is exactly one of the examples that you were questioning. Can you provide a link for the Windows desktop run time update that you are referring to?

The link is in my post.
I set other Microsoft updates to ON.
Will see what next month brings (Windows 10 Pro ‘Notify=2’, using WUmgr)

On my system all of the .Net runtimes were updated through MU —
