      I’m on W10 Pro 1809-17763.914

The upgrade to W10 1903 “frenzy” is in full swing and I have to stop and ask myself why now and not later?  I’m okay with 1809 and could easily wait a couple of months to update to 1909 directly once that version has matured to status “good” (or as good as it gets…).

      Suggestions anyone?  TIA.

Why wait and upgrade to 1909 in a couple of months when you can wait some more and upgrade to 2002 ?
Windows 10 1903 is mature enough with no apparent stop bugs.

According to Microsoft 1909 is available to all now : https://www.askwoody.com/forums/topic/windows-10-version-1909-is-available-for-any-user/

Microsoft is going to push 1909 to 1809 users

We are starting the next phase in our controlled approach to automatically initiate a feature update for an increased number of devices running the October 2018 Update (Windows 10, version 1809) Home and Pro editions,..

A valid point, but, answering a question with a question ain’t no answer, really.  Then I may as well wait for 20xx too, right?

The way I understand it, 1909 is a 1903-Sp1 or something like that.  And, as 1909 is available to all now, I gather it will be “approved” by this forum sooner rather than later, right?

At the end of the day I have to make that decision, or, else, MS may do it for me .. I suppose!

1903 is good, 1909 is good, 1909 doesn’t have many new features.  You can’t go wrong whatever you choose, and it is also fine if you want to wait a bit (but not past May, 1809 Pro end of servicing).  Make backups.

Thanks!  All good sounds good to me, as I’m trying to minimize my upgrade endeavors without messing (up/around) too much.  It’s tough as it is .. so I’ll probably hang onto 1809 a bit longer and go to 1909 directly.  I like having Sp1 already installed…
