there 2 nice topics today on AI being put into MS 365. Now, I don’t use MS 365, but that got me wondering – is win 12 going to be simply an AI engine, a “responsible” one, of course?

In another thread I posited 11 and decided firmly to stay on 10(thanks all for comments!!!), probably until 2025. But this is starting to get scarry. – Lenovo thinkpad P15s running BORG….

There is nothing I about AI. Should be simply be called A.

“AI” is really LC – Learned Choices.

May be. The leak version of Windows 12 shows it is a cloud subscription base similar to MS365 ($99 per year). It is more alpha release so it might change. MS will add more AI into it now that MS365 is getting it. Once the next leak version is released, than will be able to check into it. This is causing some people to finally switch to Linux OS, which is open source and free. In a few years, there might be more people abandoning MS and moving to other OS.

New thing to me, I just did a zoom on Mint. Yay.

But as to win 12  I am quite sure that we will find ways to use it safely. We always seem to.

And Ask Woody is the place to be for that!

It may just take a few months but I have faith we will. It may take a few steps like dropping 365, or simply learning how to use it safely – since MANY people use it. And there will be other components. it is a simple puzzle like anything else. MS gives us the puzzle box with the pieces, and we learn how to put it together in a way that is safe for our data,

Worst case – determine those IP addresses that do the AI stuff and block them.
