Windows 10 1803 update arrival

I have a question which I hope someone answer me…

Its my first time dealing with a feature update,(I sucessfully blocked the 1709 one) I have a new laptop which I bought in September.

my question is, does it appear in windows update first ?  or Windows spams you and automatically install it?

I am scared since I fear that my laptop upgrade without being able to stop it.

Replies

Usually feature updates will be labeled “Feature Update …” when using Windows update. If they decide to slip it past you, it will happen or you get some kind of dialog. I suppose you are using wushowhide, it should still work and you should use it to hide updates you do not want. Oh yeah if it does work, copy it to several different storage devices just in case…

You are welcome. Oh! You need to run wushowhide first to check what Microsoft has put in the update queue to aid in deciding to apply an update. I perhaps need to post a list of updates that can or appear to force an upgrade, but sometimes Woody or Susan puts a notice on the front page. 🙂
