Windows Central reported Windows 10 version 22H2 may be forthcoming.

    Any useful details yet?

Anyone have a registry key entry to allow (target) this in Windows Updates?

Expected in September. I NEVER want to be first.  I’ll be discussing it in the 8/15 newsletter.

      But here’s the registry key:

Click here to install the Registry key to install Windows 10 22H2 when it comes out

      Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

      [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate]
      “TargetReleaseVersion”=dword:00000001
      “ProductVersion”=”Windows 10”
      “TargetReleaseVersionInfo”=”22H2”

Microsoft has not released any details of what is in the release.

As was pointed out in a previous post about Win10 22H2, it’s suppose to simply “turn on” some features that are already in Win10 2004 — 22H1 but are currently deactivated.

there is no 22H1 release as that one does not exist, alejr
after Win10 21H2 was released, MS switched to a one feature update a year release for both Win10 & Win11, so next release after 21H2 is 22H2

Click here to install the Registry key to install Windows 10 22H2 when it comes out Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate] “TargetReleaseVersion”=dword:00000001 “ProductVersion”=”Windows 10” “TargetReleaseVersionInfo”=”22H2”

Just to be clear, this is to download and save ‘the Registry key to install Windows 10 22H2 when it comes out’, correct?

Being picky but don’t want to inadvertently run the key before it’s time. 🙂

      Thanks!
