Things are really coming together nicely and definitely a rapidly growing community. There really is an impressive list of contributors here and probably more knowledge here than Funk and Wagnall’s dictionary. I salute you sir and a hearty handclasp to all the staff, MVP’s and participants!

AskWoody has been my go-to site for quite a long time. Now, with thanks to all the deep-bench players coming over from Windows Secrets (!), there is no doubt. 🙂

This is ‘way long overdue so I just want to “get it over with” and go back to reading and enjoying Woody’s Windows Watch, aka the late, lamented Windows Secrets.  It has proven once again that the Phoenix can indeed rise from the ashes of a failed attempt by some corporate goober know-nothings and that you simply can’t keep a good Windows newsletter down (even nearly a decade later). Heartfelt kudos to Master Woody, Fred, (the Super-girl Squad Susan, Amy & Deanna), Lance, Mike, and those 2 other “living legends”, Lincoln and Tracey.  The writing style is unique and sounds like the kind of great advice that you’d get from your nextdoor neighbor after you persuaded him to go the neighborhood dive bar and elicit whatever (actual) Windows secrets you could coax out of him (that’s nothing to do with cables, by the way).  You guys mix the requisite amount of savvy technical information tempered with just the right sprinkling of tech humor slipped in and I’ve yet to get any inapplicable advice from any of you.  Keep up the good work guys (and gals).  It’s appreciated more that you’ll ever know!

For those old-timers who can even remember the infamous “Funk & Wagnall’s” (gigantic) 2-volume dictionary set. The only reason I do is because it came with an equally huge set of Grolier Encyclopedias that my folks got for me well over 30 years ago…

Just because you don't know where you are going doesn't mean any road will get you there.
