Word documentation and generation Errors

Hi all,

We use a server as to act as a Word documentation and generation to PDF solution. Recently we have started to report the following errors.

Word 2003:

1. System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x800A11FD): This method or property is not available because there is a memory or disk problem.
at Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.ApplicationClass.Quit

2. System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x800A149D): Word could not create the work file. Check the temp environment variable.
at Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.Documents.Open

We have checked the server physically and the memory is fine. Just wanted to know if you can work out what the errors mean and what trouble shooting I can do.

Disk have been checked, no errors plenty of free space. No other event logs.

Have you tried to repair the Office installation?

Were there changes made to the system?

We have tried a repair with no joy and we have deleted and re-enabled templat.doc file. No changes / updates have been made to chjange anything.

The above errors, I am not finding much info out on the wider web. Not sure what to do next?

Check that Word isn’t falling over loads of orphaned temporary files.
