Perhaps this or this. Might help for the first.

And this for the second. It’s all a bit above my paygrade though…

Well last thing last night was that it stopped asking, but as I shut down the PC just after I couldn’t be sure it had stopped.
Today, the PC’s been on for 5 hours and Outlook hasn’t asked once. I think it’s now happy….

What’s your Word version? Mine is 1905 (Build 11629.20196 click to run) and I don’t have that window when I close a new Word doc (just the normal one). I accept all O365 updates as well.

Woody, might it be best to start a new thread with a list of all the issues that you have at present. We can than add new ones knowing that they’re unreported. It takes a lot of looking to see if whatever problem we’ve got has already been raised.

Isn’t it time that this thread was closed and that every question has its own thread with a meaningful subject? The subject on this is ‘a question…’, but there’s now been many questions. It doesn’t help to search for specific subjects when there’s no reflection of them in the subject.

Hmph, I should have looked more closely at the failed emails. They weren’t from our bulk emailer at all, they were from one of our accounts on the charity’s web server. We asked the owner to do something with SPFs a while back, so I’ve asked him what’s going on (still think it’s Yahoo being a pain).

Sorry, should have said I had anonymized the addresses.

The two emails that have been flagged were sent by the bulk emailer we use to email members of our charity and this one (and another) are the only ones being flagged in this way. Btinternet are hosted by Yahoo and I have no confidence in them whatsoever. I had two email addresses with them and they just caused so many problems I went to another provider without any issues.

I still don’t really understand what you’re saying, so perhaps I need to go to the bulk emailer’s support.

Looks like the ingesting has started again, the site’s now slower and the reply count is moving up more than the number of replies being posted.

First thing I checked. I’ve got outlook on both my phone and my tablet and neither of these have a problem. My other outlook account asked for a pin – couldn’t work out what the pin was. Turned out it was the pin I had set up on this PC (though it now autologons). Wasn’t at all obvious but it hasn’t had a problem since. This one doesn’t ask for a pin….
I’ll see if it happens tomorrow – I shut down overnight nowadays.

I’ve tried these but there’s nothing like the new posts button on WSL. These gave you a list of the threads but there was a menu item added in each thread which took you to the first new post.

“new posts since last visit” has always given me none – even after logging out and back in
“new posts last day” – only gives you the thread not the posts
I use “recently active posts” – same issue

We’ve lost the new reply icon, though that took you to the latest post, not necessarily to the first new post in the thread.

How do you find new posts then Joe? I haven’t found an ideal solution. I use “Recently active topics” and keep a note of the time I searched. I then just look at threads with a newer time than that the next time I look. One problem with this method is that if a thread has a reply to a post halfway along that thread, you’ve then got to look carefully if any other new post elsewhere in the thread. Easy if it has few posts, but a nightmare if it has 30 or more.

But I still don’t understand your problem. Doing it Elly’s way (same as mine) Win 10 doesn’t download anything, you move/copy your files yourself to whatever folder you want. Where does Win 10 take over and not let you copy to any other folder?

I knew that and have used it before, but @areader wasn’t talking about that because using that system you can drag and drop into any folder. He says the way he’s doing it won’t let him change the folder. I suspect he’s using something else, but he hasn’t said what.

Well the site’s still faster than it was, and the replies total has increased by 46 since my initial post (probably the replies that have been made today) – so I wonder if the whale ingesting has stalled…
