    • Just installed Security Update 2020-004 for Mojave on my Macbook air. No real issues.

      Hope to update Safari tomorrow

    • Thanks OscarCP. I’ll give it a few days before installing too.

I still haven’t decided about Catalina. Maybe I’ll give it a try in late August.

    • Thanks DrBonzo.  From what I can tell there is only one hole plugged…Vim. If I remember correctly Vim is a text editor. Why then is the security update 1.67GB? Just guessing here but is the security update cumulative like the Monthly Rollup in Windows 7?

    • Anyone seeing Security update 2020-004 for Mojave?

      Is this safe to install?

    • OscarCP: Not sure if you can answer this but how long will Mojave get security updates? And when will we be forced to upgrade to Catalina?

    • I’ve successfully installed 2020-003 on my Mojave.

I am new with macOS, is there a history of updates installed like Windows? I can only find Mojave 10.14.6 no supplemental updates.

While I’m at it, is Safari baked in like IE in Windows 7?

    • Installed the following Win 7 Home x64 and Office 2010 x64 patches:

      1) All offered Office 2010 x64 patches – reboot
      2) SSU – 4536952 – reboot
      3) Rollup – 4534310 – reboot
      4) .NET – 4535102 – reboot

No real issues except the download of the Rollup took 30 minutes.
      No double reboot.

Thanks to all who shared there update experiences over the years.
A big thanks to Woody and PKCano for guiding us to the end of the light for Win7 Home users.

Thanks PKCano, that was me. I took your advice and installed the SSU-4516655 before the Oct Rollup-4519976
      ——-
      Please bear with me:

I never installed ANY September patches as the DEFCON was changed to 1 before I had a chance to do anything.

Yesterday, when I first checked for updates I was only offered: 6 Office 2010 patches, the Sept. Rollup -4516065, NET 4.8 (unchecked)-4503548, SHA-2-4474419 and the NAG-4493132.

I proceeded to install SHA-2 4474419 first since I read somewhere it would bring up the Oct. Rollup 4519976. No problems with this update.

When I rebooted and checked for updates, I was offered the Oct. Rollup – 4519976 and the Sept. Rollup-4516065 disappeared.
I decided to hold back on the Oct Rollup and installed the Office 2010 updates since there were no issues from what I could remember.

Today, PKCano recommended installing the SSU before the Oct Rollup. I took PKs advice and installed the SSU-4516655 from the catalog.
No issues with the install and rebooted just to be safe.

Finally, I installed the Oct. Rollup-4519976. No really issues…no double reboot..time was good on install. The only problem was the download which took about 25min.

I did one last check for updates and was left with NET 4.8 (unchecked)-4503548 and NAG-4493132

The only issue I have with the Oct. Patches is I was never offered the Sept-NET-4514602 or Oct-NET-4524102. Only the NET 4.8 which was unchecked and never installed.

Thank you PKCano for making things clearer and easier to do. A big thanks to Woody and all MVPs for guiding us through these rough waters to the EOL of Win7

    • Win 7 x64, Office 2010 x64, Group A

We are currently at DEFCON 1 and I have yet to update any September patches.  We only have 2 days before October patch Tuesday.

Should I continue to hold on September patches?

    • Has anyone had printer issues after installing Win 7 September patches?

      Win 7 x64, Office 2010 x64, Group A

Finished installing the Aug Monthly Rollup, 4512506 followed by all the Office 2010 patches.
Rebooted after each install and waited 15 to 30 min for the hd light to go out.

I want to thank PKCano for all the help in dealing with the August Group A patches!

Also, a shout out to Woody and all the MVPs for keeping us on track on this rollercoaster ride to Win 7 EOL !!

Am I good to go with the rollup and Office patches?

    • in reply to: Patch Alert: Where we stand with the August 2019 patches #1943631

Hi PKCano, thanks for the update.

I started my updates yesterday around 12pm EST.  I installed 3133977 followed by 4474419 with a reboot for each and waiting 15 to 30 min. I decided to wait until today to do the rest.

I did not find out about the ASUS motherboard issue until 10pm EST. I have an old 2012 Dell Inspiron. Can I assume since I have booted up 3 times that I won’t get hit by the ASUS bug?

Am I safe to install the August monthly rollup 4512506 and the Office 2010 patches?

Thanks again PKCano for all that you do. You go above and beyond!

      Thanks PKCano!

      What about 4517297 VB fix?
