Hi PKCano,
Although I am Group A I prefer to install patches individually. Can you let me know the proper order to install the following patches…
3133977 – found in hidden updates. Is it needed?
4474419 v2 – SHA-2
4512506 – August rollup
Office 2010 patches
One last question….4517297 – Do I need it since I have Office 2010? Looks like it’s a defer in Master Patch List.
Thank you!

KB971033 has been installed for years.
So just leave it alone?

I am confused about how to handle KB971033. There are a lot of posts about uninstalling it and a lot about leaving it alone.
How should I proceed? Thanks in advance.

AskWoody PlusDecember 8, 2018 at 10:34 am in reply to: MS-DEFCON 4: A perfect calm before the next patching storm #239173Sorry forgot to add Group A.
I checked Windows Update again and was not offered Outlook 4461529.
I was always under the motto…
“If it ain’t checked, don’t check it”So since Outlook 4461529 was not checked I did not check it.
How do I recover from this?
Thanks in advance.

Todsy I was offered both 4461529 and 4461585. Only 4461585 was checked and installed.
After installing, and check for updates both are not being offerred. Do I still need to install 4461529?

AskWoody PlusNovember 5, 2018 at 2:49 pm in reply to: MS-DEFCON 4: With the Win7 Monthly Rollup now working, it’s time to get everything updated #230352UPDATE
After getting it to “Resume Windows” (Laptop) I waited patiently like rick41 suggested. After about 20 minutes it shutdown and restarted and looks like it was successful.
Thank you to all for the advice and help. I think I’ll wait for tomorrow to install the rest!

Just need to install .NET and MSRT but that will wait for tomorrow.
Thanks to all the MVPs for all the advice and guidance to help making Windows updates less stressful.

I’ve attached an image of my network devices. Will I be bricked because of the Intel Centrino Wireless-N device?
I also checked my Optional Updates for the first time in a very long time. I noticed that I have the following update:
Realtek – Network – Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller – 07/03/2013
Is it prudent to install this update?
Thanks to all.
