My W10 Home is now 18.362356 with No Issues as usual in my Ethernet-to-AT&T Uverse setup..

Settings Update History (3) shows Sept Cum Update, Net Frmwk 3.5/4.8, and Adobe Flash (via Edge, I think).

Control Panel (4) adds KB4515383 Svc Stack…. MSRT in Settings “Other Updates” last shows date of Aug Cum Update = 8/13/19, so maybe in a follow-up.

If you use Windows Update to install the CU, the corresponding Servicing Stack should be applied automatically with the CU.

If you install the CU manually, that’s another story. You would need to install the Servicing Stack manually first.

Thanks & Understood – and KB 4515530 Svc Stack DID Install automatically again. It Appears in Control Panel Update History — BUT NOT in Settings Update History, although the June Svc Stack Update DID Appear via Settings. W10 now 18362.329.

yup along with the new KB4515530 servicing stack update for v1903
      http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=4515530

Nothing in Check for Updates yet.

I’m 95.46% sure that the June 27 Service Stack was installed Automatically WITH the Cumulative Update. Is THAT a correct assumption OR are we supposed to Install this one manually B4 the new Updates? Thanks!

Another “flavor” of W10 and Multi-Func Printer setup is what Canon had me do for my former printer. A newer (replacement) HP MF Printer inst’d without issue.

Nothing like these examples cited but offered for the rare case similarity to my scenario-

USB Un-plugged / Ran Canon MF Printer Install app / Re-attached USB

In W10 Settings / Bluetooth & Other Devices / Devices & Printers @ Far Rt Column

Rt Clk on Canon Printer Icon – “Set as Default Printer” Choose Canon MF4500 UFRIIL LT

Rt Clk Printer Properties & Select Canon MF4500 UFRIIL LT / Did a Test Pg & all worked

SCAN didn’t work after Print Fixed: Rt Clk (desktop) Canon Toolbox Shtcut/ Properties/ Compatibility Tab/ Run as Windows 8 … Scan then Worked

      Installed:

KB4507453 2019-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems (OS Build 18362.239)

      KB4506991 2019-07 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64

KB4509096 2019-07 Servicing Stack Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems

      No issues.

1903 was Same for me; Install time drags but no issue. WU inst’d SSU as I didn’t see it until -b- posted and I looked.

With Home Edition, you should be using Metered Connections and wushowhide to stop the download/install. That is your only defense unless you use a third-party Update blocker.

With Macrium images I haven’t backed-off from W10 Updates since Feb new HP and haven’t had but the one issue where (2 ) 6/28 Cum Update Install attempts were requd.

I’m just trying to clarify IF the Pending Cum Update I saw / Inst’d yesterday was Still the Preview – I would expect MS to show a “Release” Update as Pending, Not “Preview”. Remember, I just clk’d Updates & Security, Not Chk For, and There it was – and for the (2) anonymous post-ers I ref’d, too..

gHacks Martin B on 6/27: [ KB4501375 is – considered a – Preview Update – , not a final update. It should Not be installed on production machines but is suitable for testing purposes.

Woody 6/27: [ You’ll only get this patch if you click “Check for updates” (which, of course, you never do), or if you download and install it manually. If you do install it manually, be sure to first install the new Servicing Stack Update, KB 4506933.]

Per (2) anonymous 6/28  12:20 & 1:32  & Me —- On 6/28 IT WAS THERE as – Pending Download – when I clk’d the – Update & Security – Page, so – does MS show “Preview” Updates as a Pending Dnload – OR – might the Status have changed in one day? Confused…..

FWIW, I’m on Win 10 1903 Home. This morning I got the .NET cumulative update automatically and got the option to download and install the 1903 cumulative update. After the install and restart, I checked the updates menu again and saw that the 1903 cumulative update was listed again as an optional download and install. After some cursing that this would be three months straight having to install the cumulative update twice, I clicked download and install and after a brief checking for updates, it said I was up to date. So it didn’t install twice although it appeared as an optional update twice.

I’ve been on 1903 for two weeks and haven’t noticed any issues and so far no issues with the cumulative update other than it being offered twice, but thankfully only installed once.

I can confirm a 2nd offering of KB4501375 AFTER its Install and Re-Start — and Clk’ing Chk for Updates netted “You’re Up to date” and no 2nd download. I had a 1st attempt Install  problem WU acknowledged with an Update Page Notice and a suggested Re-Start spinning-arrow lasted so long I did a hard Power Off and tried again successfully on 2nd attempt.

I inst’d the 6/27 “1903” Svc Stack manually as suggested (& 4.8 Net Frmwk WU offered) yesterday. KB4501375 appeared as Pending Dnload when I clk’d Update & Security today.

On June 15 the HP Sppt Asst app (in my new desktop) Inst’d a RealTek BT Audio Driver, an Intel Rapid Storage Tech Driver, & an Intel Mgt Engine Interface Driver.

If MS is “working on the BT issue” then I guess this Driver update is Coincidence, but HP owners might chk your machine for any BT Driver update and the other 2.

1903 Home …. June Cum Kb4503293, Flash, MSRT, and C2R Stdn-Hm Office ’16 ran without issues.

Does anyone have the patience to Recap what Win Update gives me now in 1903. (3) Critical and (39) Importants are known Updates but I just realized I don’t know exactly what I just installed. I’m closer to finding the Holy Grail than I am a Recap List of WHAT parts (ie) Kb4503293 Includes of (42) possible Updates.

FWIW, my last-known 4.72 Net Frmwk is Now 4.8, so the Update was Auto possibly in the 1903 Upgrade.

On a new SSD/HDD combo my 1903 Home Upgrade took about an hour with All Security Apps DIS-abled. I got stuck on 91% Install with 1809 and THAT was MY remedy then.

Fast Startup was STILL Disabled but I Disabled Prefetch, SysMain, and Search Indexing that were OFF on 1809. The Startup layout looks the same – Not cluttered with New Apps I read of prior.  1903.18362.145 .

      Good luck to all!

Returned to computer and found more Updates – Didn’t note KB #s but when I clk Uninstall I can see the Old Update History Format which shows for today 6/7/19: Kb4497932 Adobe Flash; 4495620 Net Frmwk 4.72 for me; 4497935 My 1903 Build; 4498523 Saw a Language Pk Fix which should fix gborn’s issue.

      FYI

Can someone clarify that IF I’m W10 Home and want to allow 1903 – I CANNOT have a usual Bkup-to-USB  plugged-in – OR – Will MS Fix that issue First so that it won’t matter?

      Many Thanks!

Having inst’d the 5/21 Kb4497934 Update I clk’d – Check for Updates – & did NOT see any 1903 mention, particularly, “I’m here and Clk when ready” as the Update should do. I may have one of the issues that nets a 1903 Block for me.
