I ran wushowhide to see what was in the WU chute, and KB5012170 was pre-checked in the hide section. That was the first time that I got the result with an update pre-checked. I don’t have Bitlocker enabled but opted to hide the update for now.

Yep, I hid it last month (and maybe the month prior), and it was back again this month.

I kind of like it. But I don’t keep it in the system tray. I see it only when I need to open the Adobe CC app.

I just got this patch when I installed the May updates. It’s been sitting in the queue for a while. My processor wasn’t listed until this update, so I assume the patch wasn’t offered until the processor was supported. I installed it, and there’s nothing noteworthy to report.

I downloaded the SSU update from the Microsoft Catalog and just placed it in the folder with the security updates to install with the ESU script from @abbodi86. All is good.

I deleted the ini file, and the script ran as expected. Thank you much. I have 0patch installed on the system, but it’s not active. That’s probably the reason the fix didn’t get installed.

The same thing is happening on my Windows 7 system. The command window opens, indicates that “Patchable module found: C:\Windows\system32\GDI32.dll with hash 4dd319b1e6b8a09d121ad669dbcbab95bacad64e”, and then closes. February updates ran as expected, and I have the March SSU installed, but I can’t get it to work with the March updates (security only).

“This security update was updated August 13, 2019 to include the bootmgfw.efi file to avoid startup failures on IA64 versions Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1.”

The update probably isn’t needed on x64 systems.

I received notification today of ‘Update for Windows Defender Antivirus antimalware platform – KB4052623 (Version 4.18.1906.3).’ Has anyone installed the update, or should I treat it like the usual monthly patches?

It seems to be random. I have 1809 Pro on my laptop also, and the 1903 message doesn’t show. It shows only on my desktop that is a newer system.
