I’ve noticed that the newsletter writers of this site seem to skip KeyPass as an option for storing passwords.  Is it because it doesn’t store the passwords “in the cloud”?

If you could fill me in on your suggestions vs. KeyPass, I’d be grateful.

      Cheers!!

So I have a Win10 Pro I want to go from 1809 to 1909.  Your previous article said to set the feature deferral to 10 (back in November).  So should I now specify 70?  I don’t want 2004 accidentally getting on this workstation.

      Cheers!!

Ok, I’m going to play the devil’s advocate.  I did see the extended widget yesterday, then today it’s back to the small one.  I actually like the small one as now I have to scroll “way down” the page to find sections like Search for Topics or Recent Topics.  Plus once I have paid, I shouldn’t have to see all that information.

I would rather see an easier method for finding these sections from a selection or menu at the top.  Even better would be something that would remember my settings.  I’m a big fan of the user experience and we work hard to make our software as user friendly and efficient.

I do realize that there are limitations in what can be done using WordPress.  Plus I’m not experienced in WordPress either.  Keep up the good work.

      Hi Susan,

When I saw my kids using dark mode on programs they used, I thought how annoying.  I decided to try it out as I have to darken my display for evening work (which I do a lot of).  It helped my eyes and let me work better, to my surprise.  So I have changed what I can to dark mode on my main computer.

      Cheers!!

After reading many of the comments, I had to add my two cents.

I fall into the small business category and am a MS partner.  I use the internal licensing to test our applications on a variety of platforms.  Our clients are finacial institutions, health care, etc. and they all use Windows and MS Office.  This change would hurt us directly.

The arguement of “no viable alternatives” being false only applies if you have complete control of your environment.  When you depend on clients, they dictate what environment you have.

So for us small businesses that sell and consult, let’s hope MS will backtrack on this.

      Cheers!!

I know you have posted the instructions to use that squirreled away 1809 USB stick to upgrade an 1803 version.  But after lots of searching on this site, I still can’t find it.  Would you point me in the right direction?

      Thank you, thank you!!

Spider Solitare, FreeCell and if I get really bored, myVegas.

First thing I do (as many of you do) is to uninstall ALL that crapware.  I like it clean.

I thought about it (and I did it last time) but I felt lazy this time and wanted it to see if it would download the right version.

We did the same thing.  Had lousy experience with LogMeIn and switched to TeamViewer a few years ago.  Was easy and quick to convert our clients.  Should have done it even sooner…

BTW I have used KeyPass forever and it’s wonderful (and free).  Anything LogMeIn leaves a bad taste in my mouth now (IMHO).

So I can’t find anything on 7-zip’s site about the two issues back from March 2018.  It’s been mentioned a couple of times here but no answer.  Is someone in communication with Pavlov that can answer these questions? And what is really affected by these issues again?

      Thanks!!
