AskWoody PlusOctober 2, 2020 at 6:08 pm in reply to: 2000014: Ongoing List of Apple Operating System Updates #2300588Did you miss the word “some” (in my post) and the words “if” and “might” (in the headline)?
I don’t know if I would have a problem or not. But there’s nothing in iOS 14 that I desperately want, so I’ll play it safe and wait.

AskWoody PlusOctober 2, 2020 at 5:06 pm in reply to: 2000014: Ongoing List of Apple Operating System Updates #2300575Interesting article in The Verge about some people experiencing battery drain on iPhones and Apple Watches after installing iOS 14 and watchOS 7. This is NOT fixed in iOS 14.0.1.
If iOS 14 is causing battery drain, you might need to wipe your iPhone
I haven’t upgraded from iOS 13.7 yet and I guess I’ll wait a while longer.

That’s a good point. I have Quality Updates deferred for 15 days.

(I say “apparently” because I don’t use this search and I have content indexing turned off, but when I type something in I get a list of results.)
Wed, 2020-02-05 after rebooting – Exactly the same as before rebooting.

Personally I keep my AV solutions away from my email client and my browser.

AskWoody PlusJanuary 18, 2020 at 1:15 pm in reply to: January 2020 Patch Tuesday running commentary, from the skeptic’s corner #2086733I’m sorry, but I’ve never seen that and have no idea what would cause it. The only way that I can think of to fix it is to find the profile directory with the configurations, find the correct file, and manually edit it with a text editor.
