AskWoody PlusThank you for your advice, as I couldn’t find the trader folder I used Revo Uninstaller and it worked fine, all is now well. I bought XPlane 11 instead , still coming to grips with it.

AskWoody PlusThank you Paul for your reply. I discovered that I had also installed the Google Chrome extension for the VPN as well as the main application so obviously they fought one another.
I uninstalled the main application and just used the browser extension and now all is fine.

AskWoody PlusI realise now that the Start 10 programme I use has a Win 7 appearance that I have chosen, any other choice takes up too much screen real estate.

AskWoody PlusThank you again Moonshine. My File Manager is Directory Opus, maybe that gives it a Win 7 appearance? I used your suggestion ‘OpenWithView’ and disabled the inPixio entries (see attach) and rebooted. I then tried the Open With facility but all the entries remained the same (see attach)
Maybe there is somthing wrong with my PC or I’m not smart enough to be a half-wit.

AskWoody PlusOpenWithAdd worked a treat, thank you Moonshine. I know I am asking too much but how do I get rid of all the entries that I don’t want? Is there another programme that works as well as OpenWithAdd?

AskWoody PlusThank you. I don’t want any of them but I would like to add PaintShop Pro Ultimate 2020.

AskWoody PlusThank you for your post, unfortunately ShellMenuNew only works on Windows 7 and earlier versions..

AskWoody PlusIt may, and it all depends on whether your PC meets the criteria for a ‘feature upgrade’ by MS. Isn’t that a good thing, for now anyway?
Thank you for your advice, from my perspective you are the one upside down, but I appreciate the humour.

AskWoody PlusWithout more information it’s not possible to be definitive, but reconnecting the SSD might have been enough.
See how it goes in the long term and you should get an answer.cheers, Paul
Thank you Paul

Thank you Paul, I have unplugged and replugged the SSD, all is now working but is it because I unplugged the external HDD or something else. It was working fine before with the external HDD plugged in permanently. Appreciate your help.

AskWoody PlusThank you all for your efforts. I think I shall have to take my PC back to the fellow that built it to have all those suggestions checked out. They would be beyond my capabilities. Appreciate all suggestions offered.
