Thanks for letting me know.  I’m not itching to get the update per se… was just curious as to why it hadn’t even been offered to me as of yet.  I’m paitent, so I can wait 😛

My computer is an HP Pavilion Desktop 570-p0xx, according to dxdiag.

As an addendum, I checked my father’s laptop to see if he’d gotten the 1803 update yet, and it hasn’t either.  Don’t know the exact specs on that, though.  It’s a bit older than this desktop.

I saw some updates available on HP’s support website… there are, I think, at least 6 separate listings for “HP Pavilion Desktop”.  I have no clue which of those I would need, or if I’d need all of them… I’d sooner leave well enough alone than potentially [mess[ things up by trying to install the wrong one 😛

Think I should probably be glad my old computer died on me late last year, then… It was nearly 7 years old with an AMD processor running Win7. With my luck, I’d have been SOL 😛

I let the update go through (KB 4056892) when it was first offered on January 3rd. All I got today was the MSRT and a Flash update. I have an Intel processor (i5 7400), and haven’t experienced any slowdown or bluescreens. My initial thought is to leave well enough alone… Should I be safe?

Stupid question time… I don’t use IE, Word, or Outlook… I should be fine if I were to install the updates, shouldn’t I?  I mean, I’ll be waiting a while longer in any case, but I thought I’d ask anyways.

Apologies for the off-topic post, but that IE11 patch from 2014 that was sticking around like an unwelcomed guest (which I can’t remember the KB number of, sorry) is gone now.  Just did a check for updates and it’s no longer being offered.

It’s not just you… I’ve had this happen as well.  Installed all but the old IE11 patch, rebooted, and after checking for updates again, it was there.  The May MSRT shows as installed as well, and I did a check for updates right before installing, yet this one shows a publish date of today.
