The User agent section in Network conditions in developer tools has the use browser default box ticked so I’m thinking that’s whats happening.

Okay, I had no clue Google had that in the works.

I did manage to find the user agent settings in the developer tools and its set to use the browser default, so I’m thinking you might be right about the increased generalization picking up.

That’s true, but what reason could there be for changing the User Agent on an unsupported system?

Can the change cause any issues?

I’ve only ever used a browser to check my mail.

October 28, 2022 at 8:42 am in reply to: Up to a 3 hour delay in emails showing up in Outlook.com inbox #2492839

Reading this post made me realize that I’d left a very important detail out of my original topic.

When I changed my Gmail password, the original alert appeared in my Gmail right away as expected.

I think the delay is only with messages being posted to Outlook.

I wasn’t talking about the 2fa codes, although that doesn’t surprise me either.

I meant the alert emails that get sent when you change a password or first sign in with a new device.

All messages, no matter where they are from, are hitting my Outlook.com inbox between a half hour and 3 hours after they should.

More annoyed than worried honestly, since it seems that anything done on my end is only a temporary solution.

I’d be worried if I couldn’t make the pages work at all.

I wondered about a slow connection myself, but if it was that, wouldn’t the entire site act weird and not just the product pages?

Did you notice the errors stopping if you were signed in?

To me, that’s a sign that whatever this is has to be on Amazon’s end.

Ublock and all filter lists are up to date.

Cached images and files cleared, no change.

I also have all cookies associated with Amazon set to clear on exit.

July 30, 2022 at 10:31 pm in reply to: Location in browsers defaults to city in another state #2466833

The weirdest part of all of this for me was that that only things showing my location as Los Angeles were Google related.

It went back to showing my location as being in Ohio on Google search a couple hours after my other post.

Just had my first experience with this, Google search thinks I’m in Los Angeles county, California, when I’m really in southeastern Ohio.

I wondered the same thing considering people with 2FA on their outlook accounts are still getting the suspicious activity warnings.

If these are connected, I’d hate to work for Microsoft right now

July 5, 2022 at 4:45 pm in reply to: Up to date Roboform version number for Windows? #2458526

Thanks, I was racing a storm to get updated and shutdown.

When the UAC popped up I saw the last 3 in 9.3.3.3 as a 5 instead.

So when the About tab showed version 9.3.3.3, I was very confused.

Would disabling the Windows Search service be enough by itself to stop the search exploit?

Or would the registry key still need to be removed as well?
