AskWoody LoungerIf both UK and US keyboards are installed, users often accidentally switch them over by pressing the Shift + Alt keys by mistake – it is a switch over shortcut.
Open Word, look at the Status Bar, see what it is showing, then press the Shift + Alt keys for a comparison. -

You can post your query on as many website forums as you wish to. It’s all about getting an answer – hopefully the correct one.
You have been badly misinformed in the other forum where you are quoting its rules and regulations regarding cross posting. This refers to asking the same question in the different forums within that website.
This is a totally different website so it doesn’t apply.
However, if you were to post your query in several forums within this website – that would probably be frowned upon also. -

AskWoody LoungerDecember 13, 2014 at 8:53 am in reply to: How to get rid of ‘icon’ to the right of my Word Doc? #1480164Sounds like you have Paragraph marks and hidden formatting symbols showing.
Click the icon in the Toolbar/Ribbon that looks like this:. . . to hide them.
Alternatively, press the Ctr + Shift + * keys. -

AskWoody LoungerYou refer to Word 7 – do you mean Word 2007?
The Navigation Pane was introduced in Word 2010 and when opened (Ctrl + F), the cursor should automatically appear in the Search Bar.
If a user clicks in an open document when the Navigation Pane is open, the cursor will disappear from the Search Bar and show in the document.
To place the cursor back in the Nav Pane Search Bar, via the keyboard, press the F6 key.Apologies if I have not interpreted your issue correctly.

AskWoody LoungerIf I remember correctly, Vista’s Windows Mail was abandoned in its beta stages in 2006 because MS realised it was so bad.
It was however still included in Vista and MS advised folks to download and use the new Windows Live Mail instead which they had been developing. -

AskWoody LoungerWhen creating a new User account in Windows 10, during the setup procedure, Office 2013 ‘should’ be detected and added to the Apps available.
Once the new account has been created/added, click the start button, click All Apps and then scroll down and look for the Office 2013 folder.
Open the MS Office 2103 folder and you can, should you wish to, add shortcuts to the Office programs to the Start, Taskbar or Desktop as you would any other program shortcut. -

AskWoody LoungerOctober 19, 2014 at 4:49 am in reply to: How to attach several Outlook e-mails to a MASTER e-mail? #1471695If you simply want to include (attach) emails, previously received, to a new message (master), create a new email message then whilst in the Message tab, click the Attach Item tab in the ‘Include’ Group.
Then click Outlook Item to navigate to the folder that contains the message(s) that you want to include.
Once located, you can either opt to insert as text or as an attachment.
