I’ve had my share of problems with activating non-current Adobe Acrobat Pro, but I was able to get it to activate successfully. Fingers crossed, it has stayed that way for several months now… (hope that isn’t jinxing anything!).

You will need your original licence number to activate the product. Logging in to your Adobe account, to check the license number applies to the account you expect it to is a good idea first, as logging in to a different account will thwart the whole process. But eventually, you SHOULD be able to get a genuine old Adobe desktop version to activate properly, and work. If you don’t get it activated, it will only serve as a trial version.

There have been reports of Acrobat Pro 8 not being compatible with Win10, and that may cause an issue. It can be very frustrating getting the software installed and activated, but the headache seems worth it in the end – if you achieve your goal!
      Good luck!

As you suspect, I checked Dell’s driver versions, and it had nothing available for Win8.1. When I get a chance, I’ll see about other possible driver options. Thanks for the encouragement 🙂

I have a mothballed Win7 Dell desktop, that I was wanting to update to win8.1, but found that no drivers existed to support an upgrade. I would love to get it going again, as a backup device, but haven’t found the time to give it a try, yet.
Maybe it’s worth a try, after all?

Thank you for pointing out the cross-posting, that @wshlewton had failed to mention (per da Rules). With such an extensive discussion already undergone, the lack of cross-posting reference could have wasted an enormous amount of time and effort here!

I can’t answer why it is doing the odd behavior on the pasted cells, but if you remove the filter and reapply it, it works properly, on testing.

Was the pasting done after the filter was first set up?

Which software do you have set as your default email program? It might be worth checking the system knows you only want to use Thunderbird, not Outlook.

Word’s label attributes have always been something of an issue. I’ve usually found that Mailings>Labels, then after selecting the label format required, using New Document to bring up the grid, where you can then set your font as you wish, and check on other formatting.

This is a generic Word answer, as I’ve not tried it in your version/OS combination. It may help?

It’s not a waste of people’s time to get feedback as a precaution, in the circumstances you describe – now that we have the groundwork laid out 🙂

the purpose of the post is found in the question”Has anybody else experienced this?”

Would this be a general enquiry, or because you have the problem yourself?

@driftydonn – you have created a topic without any context. It appeared to be a question, asking for our assistance. However, I discover it is an unlinked Reddit repost, from 11 days ago.

What was your purpose in posting it? Topics need to have sufficient context to be appropriate for posting here 🙂

I was going to ask what iOS you were using, but having found the source, I’ll save my breath (and hopefully save others’ too).

That result gives a simplified functionality, but as you don’t see the several columns of names, email addresses etc. that go between the customer and fax columns in the original file, the result is less workable than a pivot table, which only gives the two column results 🙂

Do you know where the phone number was sourced from? Maybe it was a scam source?

The official global phone numbers can be located here, and this Wikihow page on Contacting Microsoft was co-authored by MS, and includes email contact details. There is also avenues such as Twitter.

The problem BJ is facing is that he isn’t using unique customers, as in your example. His data has multiple entries per company/customer, with the same fax number. That’s why I suggested PivotTable 🙂

As you have multiple duplicates in your data columns, you would need to decide on what basis you had only one fax number. How would you decide which entry from that spreadsheet would qualify, if you wanted more than the company name and fax number?

I suggest a PivotTable report might be appropriate. It would allow you to produce a unique fax number list, which wouldn’t be dependent on Contact Names, Email Addresses etc, and would remove that information that would be inappropriate on a unique fax list.

      Welcome to AskWoody @sappoguapo 🙂

Please just add to the detail, which version of Win10 are you using?
