    • in reply to: Monthly Quality Rollup are they needed? #1949612

Hi all, My operating system is a 64 bit Window Seven Pro.

It sounds bad the way your saying it to me about not having any of these updates on my PC, my computer is working fine. I am worried now if I install these updates they do more harm then good and what good would that be, but still the question about the size is there, why are they over 200MB and why can’t Microsoft show what’s inside the update, if I could see what it updates it might be worth it, but that will only depend on what they are sticking in there.

I don’t have a alot of faith in Microsoft after they were trying to ram windows 10 down my throat by sticking malware on my computer to force it to upgrade, but on the same note I won’t be going anytime soon to Apple for that matter.

If by any chance you can let me know what’s inside the update I might give a go.

      Thanks.

Hi PKCano, I had a look to see if I had Installed the update (KB4490628), that was one of the other ones that didn’t install, I gave that one another try and it installed this time, I have no idea why it didn’t install last time, so after that one I tried (KB4516655) and that also installed.

So thank you for that, I do have another question if I may, I haven’t installed any of the Monthly Quality Rollups on my computer, the reason for that well a friend of mine decided to put one on his computer after he had done that he needed to reinstall windows because the rollup bugged his system, so do I need to put these on computer? and why are they so big?.

      Thanks once again.

Hi, This has happened to me as well, in fact it happened today and I cannot install this update, I’ve checked to see if it had already installed which it had not and I also downloaded it manually to try it that way and that failed to, now I have no idea what to do, I just can’t install this update, I also keep getting this error code 80092004 when I try to install it.

      Thanks.

Any help I will be grateful with.
