Having just spent the last twenty minutes trying to navigate my way here through the WS equivalent of the Kremlin Walls and stupid out of date security checking

Apparently there is a whole part of WS that I am missing!

Good questions can be hard to answer. Maybe we need an Unpatched Watch.

PS I am wondering why Windows Secrets was unavailable for at least 15 minutes this morning..

I for one applaud a bit of android thrown in w/ the mix. I am sure the Android articles will still be a minority and the lounge does have an alt os forum. Android does tend to attract the same sort of techy folk who frequent this lounge and provide so much useful info to us all.

PS cblounger I am fairly sure Google Play is available on Kindles if you are willing to fuss a bit, check out the appropriate forum for your dev @ http://forum.xda-developers.com.

Am I right that this limitation can be overcome by running XP in a virtualbox??

I have not been forced to explore it much but Dependency Walker may address your issue:

I will not be the one to answer you, but you would be well served by explaining that with a bit more clarity and detail.

      Sorry about your nonworking passwords.
I think a similiar topic was covered here not so long ago. If I wanted to wipe ’empty’ space I would use an old shareware program w/ that capability called Ztree. It is also the best file management tool I have ever used. There are many stand alone alternatives, none of which I am familiar with. For keeping one’s own bussiness one’s own I think things like Firewalls, AV, Anti PUP and avoiding “social media” sites would be widely recommended. Using a knock off email address for registering online could only help. I am using Cookies Manager + on this computer as well as (for FF) NoScript, Empty Cache Button 2.2 and I am checking out Disconnect 3.11.0.
      As always YMMV

I bought streets but never used it. Now w/ a smart phone I was hoping to get directions over my car stereo w/ google maps, no dice.
I might try the bing app but I am afraid I would be getting too much Bing for my buck :o:

I don’t know if this applies to you but at some point, maybe still, MSBaseline Security Analyzer required MSXML SDK and Parser. On my system I have Ver 4.XXxxX. I am guessing that would have included MSXML Ver4. A newer version may indeed work.

Am I fooling myself or is this a good way of getting rid of files, pictures or things I no longer want or need.

Not at all, but if its something you don’t want anyone else to see under any circumstance, yes you are. Temp files, page files and empty space (among others I may have missed) need to accounted for. I will let others better qualified explain the best methods to deeal w/ those.
