AskWoody PlusJuly 6, 2014 at 9:10 pm in reply to: Do “Restore Previous Versions” options repair Cryptolocker infections? #1458679It probably does not need saying but I would use a non infected computer to d/l and hold the restored files until such time as you are certain all traces of crypto are purged.

AskWoody PlusGlad to hear all is well. 2Mb is just big enough to be annoying if one thinks about it, but negligible for modern HDD.

I am probably not the only one that finds it irritating that Sue does not actually list all the KBs in her Patch Watch, seems like it would be a simple thing to do. But Since I am still running XP I have nothing to worry about now:rolleyes:🍻

AskWoody PlusI like that freshly booted Windows smell in the morning:D
I also diconnect the AC power to the computer and router at night (except for scan nights) w/ a remote surgeprotector. One less time space for a lightening strike to take out my equipment and Windows always likes to be rebooted.

I have been following this thread and just wanted to be double sure. This is an actual shutdown you are doing and not one of these newfangled W8 sleepy mode things.🍻

Just a thought (ouch) but could that empty space be for alignment purposes or is that for HDDs only??🍻

AskWoody PlusYou are correct, removing the Thank you button was one of the “improvements” to the New Lounge.
