    • I followed your instructions for Changing Microsoft 365 click to run to slower patching channel. In the About Word it says the following:

Learn more about Word, Support, Product ID, and Copyright information.
      Version 2111 (Build 14701.20226 Click-to-Run) Current Channel

I am assuming this means that I have changed to a slower update version……….is that true?

Thanks……..I am guessing I will go the “clean install” route.

      Thanks alejr.

I was having the same issue on my main Desktop computer and did your step 1 & 2 but I tried the restore first from my windows restore and then my Acronis restore and it crashed my computer so bad that I had to get a new desktop computer. I am a little gun shy to try what you recommend on my laptop and I only have a windows restore point to go back to.

      Any other recommendations?

I tried to do the lastest update for Java version 6 update 17 and I got the following:
While Java installation is in progress, a message box with the following error is displayed:

Error 25099. Unzipping core files failed.

I did the work around on my windows XP that Java recommended and had to revert back to older version on my vista. Do you know when this will be fixed or if it has?

      Thanks Mark
